Dustbowl Family

For the longest time I thought that color film just didn't exist before the 1950s since all I had ever seen were black and white photographs. It was probably just too expensive to process, hence the rarity of color photographs. Anyway, I like this picture because of the peter pan collars and the vibrancy of the feedsack dresses. Also, the brightness of the girls' outfits serves as a good contrast with the depravity of their living condition. Cardboard walls suck.

*Had to turn word verification on (even though I personally hate it). I've been getting too many weird spambot comments lately :(
