CATALINA MEGA POST!

Shutterbugs
Frog Rock! Watching people jump off this thing is conducive to having a mini heart attack. Jagged rocks all around + super shallow water= potential recipe for disaster.
Fun fact: I can't swim. I asked for my inner tube to be tethered to the boat to avoid being stolen by a sea creature.  I eventually got brave and flopped on my belly to inner tube snorkel in the shallows.
Merman, so hot right now. Merman.
The tiles on this island are out of control good.
DON'T TREAD ON ME
In front of the famous Catalina Casino
These pictures do it zero justice. It is glorious inside (and I don't throw that word around).
Catalina Crew! Ed, Deanna, Kevin, Tree, Grant, and yours truly
My favorite color
Um, yes please.  Although, Street Fighter is superior in my opinion...
Hahah
Hims name was Boomer and he knew how to shake hands (paws)
On our way back to the mainland
My refugee picture. DON'T BOARD A DEPARTING BOAT LATE OR YOU WILL BE MADE TO SIT OUTSIDE WHERE IT IS COLD AND WET AND COLD.
GRANT was fully over my picture taking
The Queen Mary, the world's most haunted ship (allegedly)

Outfit details: white hand embroidered Mexican dress: $1 from Jet Rag's dollar Sunday sales

Another post filled with a zillion pictures. If you live in Southern California and have yet to go to Catalina Island, GO!! I bet we're going to have an indian summer so you can probably go until October. Anyway, its beautiful. Quaint, charming, colorful, etc.  We rented a boat and did some exploring of our own but failed to drop anchor and swim to any secluded beach since the wasp/yellow jacket situation was not to be believed. In any case, we managed to do a bit of snorkeling and saw some baby sting rays and a bat ray. It was quite the eventful day and I'm itching to go back! I mentioned in a caption that my swimming skills are non existent but maybe next time I can just strap on a life jacket and snorkel around? Sounds good to me!

  11. These are some great photos, they make me wanna visit the island. Unfortunately I have never even been in the area. I once spent a summer in New York but that kinda sums up my USA- experiences. Oh well, maybe some day...I love your embroidered dress!

  15. I love these posts because I get to live vicariously through you. So, keep them up! Haha.

And, I want your dress. Seriously. It's beautiful. I'll give you my address and even pay shipping. Hahaha!

It looks like this was such a fun day. I love the merman photo, haha! Seeing sting rays would freak me out though. At least there were no sharks! Or snakes. Ew.

Oh and my mom has "Me Talk Pretty One Day" and I've been meaning to read it for, well, years, ha. I should totally start. And then we can start a book club and it will be wonderful.
