Your lips touching mine in the photobooth

Outfit details: Dress: thrift store, yellow flats: sale at Urban Outfitters

After wearing dress after dress that hits above the knee, it definitely is a refreshing change to wear a below the knee skirt for once! I think I found this dress at The Goodwill and I couldn't believe my luck! You can't tell but there is pintucking on the front (a nice little detail!) and the fabric is really soft and a teeny bit sheer so I have to wear a half slip underneath.

AND since I don't have a scanner, I had to take a picture of the photobooth picture Grant and I took at the fair! It's so rare (at least in Southern California) to find a photobooth that takes black and white pictures. There's one in San Diego in the photography museum at Balboa Park and...that's it. It makes me sad that photobooths are getting high tech which means that the pictures look really glossy and aren't even spaced right! New photobooths give you like a sheet of large photos with the slogan of the photo company at the bottom. Ack!

P.S. the top photo was us just staring into the camera wondering when it was going to take our picture hence the blank looks on our faces ;-)

PPS: listen to Death Cab For Cutie's "Photobooth" (fitting and an old favorite of mine)

  2. That dress is lovely! Such a fantastic print and style. Also, the photobooth strip is quite adorable. I really hate how the modernized booths are a well. I got super excited when I was visiting San Francisco and I found one in a game museum on Fisherman's Wharf that gave great black and white ones!

Also, I have to say I love the glimpse of The Great Gatsby. One of my favorite books ever.

  5. I love love love photobooths! My boyfriend and I found one last year at a haunted house we attended and I LOVE the pictures so much - so so fun. Now whenever we see one we have to stop and take pictures because we just love them so much. They are really hard to find though, especially the ones that print black and white photos in just a vertical format...love it!

  24. That dress is so pretty! And I really like the yellow shoes with it. Pretty!

I have so many dresses that I need to wear slips with but I can't find ANY. I have ONE that is very old lady-ish (but who cares, you wear it under dresses!) and very long, so I have to wear it suuuuper high. Haha. Oh well.

I love photo booths. And that song is stuck in my head, haha! Brings back memories.
