I mentioned in my previous post about how Grant and I saw Jack White perform a week ago. What I didn't add was before the show we decided to head up to LA early so that we could catch Moonrise Kingdom! So far it looks like its only playing in two theaters in Southern California (one walking distance from my old apartment, no less!), hopefully it expands to more places soon.

I had this dress in the shop and it just felt like a perfect fit for the movie, it had to be worn! It's pretty short though so of course I had my trusty (and super cool) bike shorts underneath ;-)

Anyway, the movie was what you'd expect from a Wes Anderson movie aka it definitely did not disappoint  if you like his movies and style.  I think if I could work as a costumer or set designer/ prop person for him I'd be set. A girl can dream, no?

  4. One of my life dreams has always been to walk up to Tim Burton and volunteer my costume/make-up skills just to work with him, so I definitely get that.

  9. I cannot believe you'd sell that dress!!!!! It is so perfect for summer, and Moonrise Kingdom dress-up even with the bike shorts. I seriously thought I was the only person to do that! Ahh I must see it this week. I love all things Wes Anderson, it all looks like magic (and movies should be magical).

  10. SO CUTE. And yes, it wouldn't be out of place in a Wes Anderson movie. I really need to know when Moonrise Kingdom comes out in Manila. If it comes out. B and I ought to have a Girl Scout picnic to celebrate. :))

  11. Hey lovely, just a little explanation to why I haven't been commenting: Apart from taking a break from blogging, I now always check my google reader at work and somehow my computer at work doesn't support your pics :( Super lame excuse, I'm sorry! But I just wanted to tell you that I always love your blog and it's quite depressing that I can't read all the posts! :) x

  20. I've been hearing so many good things about Moonrise Kingdom, but it's not out near me yet, augh! Anyway, this look is totally perfect and I'd be lying if I said I didn't wear shorts under dresses all the time.
